Last Friday, I accompanied my New England colleagues on a tour of Providence Place at Ingleside and the newly constructed Mary’s Meadow – both located in Holyoke, Mass.
Sponsored by the Sisters of Providence, Providence Place independent living community was the result of the renovation and conversion of their Mother House, which was completed in 1999. From its quality services to its social accountability programs to its numerous dining options – anyone living in on of the 120 apartments is truly blessed!
The on-site Chapel is spectacular – 135′ long, 50′ wide and 60 feet high. It can accommodate 375 people comfortably. The beautiful artwork, floor and choir loft provide the prefect home for one of the only two Skinner Organs in the U.S. today.
Mary’s Meadow, constructed this year, features four homes that are connected in the center by a lovely chapel. In a garden setting, short-term rehabilitation and long-term living is offered at this location.
